In a time when many service organizations are struggling to survive, the Fonthill and District Kinette Club is moving forward fearlessly. The newly-established group was chartered by Kin Canada in November, nearly a year after work began to bring it to fruition.
Now, its 16 members are gearing up for their first-ever fundraiser — an early Valentine’s Day event meant to catch the attention of women of all ages.
Pamper Me Sweet, a day of spa services and shopping, takes place Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fonthill United Church. It will feature more than 20 vendors selling a variety of products including jewelry, tea, handmade cards, essential oils and cosmetics, as well as professionals offering various services including manicures, pedicures, massage, waxing, reflexology and makeup lessons, among others.
